What to see in Palmanova


Palmanova, located in the southwest of Majorca, is the largest area in the municipality of Calvià. Here, you will find a fantastic beach, that measures a little less than a mile long, which is popular amongst tourists due to its size, setting and quality of water. Palmanova boasts a marina next to the beach. Its fantastic atmosphere led it to be recognised as one of the most interesting tourist areas in Mallorca in 2009. What's more, the beach has acheived the "Q" recognition for quality.

    A bit of history

    This monument consists of a sculpture in the shape of a tower with a cross at its tip and was created in 1929 to commemorate the landing of the troops of King James I in Santa Ponsa in 700 and their conquering of the island.
